![]() The Battlefield 3 Back to Karkand Expansion Pack will be released in December for 1200 Microsoft Points, and is obviously free for anyone who purchased the Limited Edition of the game. Not only are you getting four revamped maps in the pack though - namely Strike at Karkand, Wake Island, Gulf of Oman and Sharqi Peninsula - but you'll also get five new dog tags, three new vehicles ( the DPV, BTR-90 and the F-35B STOVL jet fighter), five new achievements to unlock and ten iconic Battlefield weapons, with a new persistence system wherein players complete assignments to earn awards. If you've picked up your Battlefield 3 Limited Edition this week, you'll no doubt be keen to know when you can cash in on the promised Back to Karkand Expansion Pack, which brings with it four classic Battlefield 2 maps remastered especially for Battlefield 3, with all of the massive destructive possibilities the Frostbite 2 Engine brings.
